1.4 Placing a New Sales Order

 

1.       To place a new sales order for a customer, go to the customer’s details page.

 

 

2.       Click on ‘New Order’.

3.       A pop-up will appear as shown by the screenshot below.

 

 

4.       To view the list of products according to groups, choose ‘Groups’ from the ‘View’ list.

5.       To view the list of products according to categories, choose ‘Categories’ from the ‘View’ list.

 

 

6.       Click on the ‘View’ button next to the name of the group or category.

7.       You will see the item listing for this group/category appear in the main frame.

 

 

8.       Use the Search Toolbar at the top of the screen to narrow down the list of items or to find the item you want.

9.       To view the details for each individual item, click on the Item No. or Description. (Refer to 1.4.1 Item Details & Orders for Multiple Units for detailed steps)

10.   The rightmost column denotes the order quantity for the units specified. (To place an order for multiple units, refer to 1.4.1 Item Details & Orders for Multiple Units)

11.   Clicking on the quantity column will automatically fill in the quantity of 1 for a particular item. You can change the amount by keying in the desired quantity.

12.   After selecting the items to order and specific quantity, click on ‘Add to Order’.

13.   You can continuously place more orders from this item group/category or for other groups/categories.

14.   To view the order summary, click on ‘Proceed with Order’.

 


Order Cart Confirmation Page

 

 

15.   You will see the Order Cart Confirmation page as shown above.

16.   Clicking on ‘View’ for each item group/category will return you to the item listing and you can repeat the previous steps to add more products to the order.

17.   On the Order Cart Confirmation page, the fields in dark grey are compulsory.

18.   Enter the ‘Preferred Delivery Date’. This will be the date that the items are expected by the customer.

19.   Enter the ‘Sales Person’ to be in charge of this order.

20.   Under the ‘Quote or SO?’ field are options to mark the status of the order, so that users will know what further actions to take:

21.   Enter the rest of the information on the header level as necessary.

22.   On the line level for individual items, you can change the ordered quantity and prices for each item.

23.   Click on ‘Remove’ to remove a particular item from the order.

24.   To confirm order, click on ‘Save Order’.

 

Online Sales Order Page

 

 

25.   You will see the ‘Online Sales Order’ page.

26.   On this page, you will be able to adjust prices, add additional discounts, add free items and add miscellaneous charges.

27.   You can add additional discounts to individual items by keying the percentages into the ‘Disc’ fields.

28.   You can add free items by entering the quantity into the ‘Free’ fields.  These items will be deducted from the stock count.

29.   To add a miscellaneous charge, choose an item from the ‘Miscellaneous Charges’ list and click on ‘Add’. (Refer to 1.4.2 Miscellaneous Charges for full details)

30.   Click on ‘Save’ to store the changes.

31.   Click on ‘Cancel Order’ to make the order ‘Void’.
